My name is Gustavo Zago Basilio, I am a computer engineer and this is my professional web site. The idea behind this web site is to have a methodic and organized way to keep track of my career, listing my professional goals, skills and main achievements. Although it is primarily intended to be a helping tool to myself it is also a way people can get to know me professionally.
Currently I am working on my master thesis project at R2Meton AB, a Swedish IT company based in Stockholm. This project is a mandatory step toward the degree of "Master of Science with specialization in Internetworking" at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), also in Stockholm. I have a previous degree in computer engineering with major in software systems at the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), located in Campinas Brazil, and exchange studies at the University of Stuttgart, in Stuttgart, Germany.
My area of specialization is Java technologies and computer networks. I have more than 2 years work experience with web architectures, development of client/server and E-commerce applications, and sound knowledge of networks and network protocols.
My career objective is to become the ultimate specialist in server-side Java technologies, developing methods and tools to make enterprise applications faster, more reliable and safer.
